What arrives

Two kinds of letter, on the days you pick.

Most letter days, Lumi reads a short letter aloud in her own voice. About once a week she paints one instead, and it moves.

A voice letter

Emma, your mom wrote to me. You did it.

Her words on paper while Lumi says them out loud. The word she is on lights up, so a child who cannot read yet can still follow along.

A video letter

Thirty seconds of Lumi, animated, saying your child's name and asking for one small thing. Then she says goodbye and sends her to you.

You choose the days and which kind comes on each, in your parent account. Letters are paid for with moonstones: a voice letter costs one, a video letter ten.

How long it lasts

A video letter is thirty seconds. Then she says goodbye.

There is no feed, no next video, no autoplay. When it ends, the screen is done. That was the point of building it.

Kid mode is one button. She holds it to leave.

What you are left with

A keepsake that writes itself.

Every time you tap “She did it”, the date and the thing she did are kept. In a year it is the only record of who she was at three.

You read or watch it before she does

Every letter waits for you. Approve it, or ask for another one. Nothing reaches her unseen.

Nothing is installed on a kid device. Kid mode is a page you open on your own phone and hand over, and holding one button gives it back.
